i like the colours and repetition... it would look much cooler if it were centered evenly and less blury.

Yeah, it's a cool idea. I agree that the blurring takes away from it a bit. I'd maybe also experiment with some different lighting techniques too. Different lighting (direction and intensity) can change the mood of your subject quite dramatically, i find.
